The concept of Spot On Musical Theatre began in the Theatre Arts classroom of a local school. Director, Gene Lubiens, used the class as a support group for the school's musical productions.

A talented and enthusiastic team of directors, designers, and clinicians are pleased to work with students to help them experience the joys and challenges of musical theatre. Unique and creative sets are designed to be mobile so that extended productions can go to area schools and various communities.

Certified by Northwest Nazarene University (NNU) to offer university concurrent credit to high school juniors and seniors, the director has developed a semester long musical theatre course emphasizing:

 Music theory

On stage and back stage artistry

 Musical theatre history

The elements of musical theatre production

Not only do actors, singers and dancers benefit from the class but stage managers, builders, costumers, make up personnel, and technicians are enabled to see a bigger scope of artistry that is required of good musical theatre.
